Vehicle fire extinguished at local high school (3 photos)

The fire was put out before any damage was done to the nearby building

At approximately 1:40 p.m. Saturday, Bradford Fire, Paramedics and South Simcoe Police were dispatched to a structure fire at Bradford and District High School on Holland Street West in Bradford..

Smoke was visible for miles.

Upon arrival firefighters found two vehicles in a rear fenced compound ablaze very close to the school building.

They were able to quickly extinguish the fires before there was any spread to the school itself. It appears that damage was limited to the two vehicles.

It is unknown if the fenced and gated compound was locked at the time.

It is unknown as to the cause of the blaze.
