Young Artists' Showcase features talent in music, dance, song

The 2019 Young Artists’ Showcase, sponsored by VPAN, is presenting these wonderfully talented young performers on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Old Town Hall.

York Dance Academy 

• Since 1986, York Dance Academy has offered aspiring dancers of all ages the highest calibre of instruction in a wide variety of dance styles. The Academy has been awarded the Reader’s Choice Award for the Best Dance Studio repeatedly.

Maria Milenic 

• A student at University of Toronto, mezzo-soprano Maria Milenic has already established herself as a vocalist in demand. She has won prizes, she has gained chorus experience, as well as acclaimed solo performances in Operas with Orchestras. 

The Miles Twins 

• The Miles twins, Jennifer and Julia, have been singing and performing all their lives. They are graduates of Seneca College in Performance and Songwriting, and they have recently released a music video.

Ellie Sievers

• Ellie Sievers has completed the RCM Grade 10 examinations for violin with first-class honours and distinction. Ellie is a member of the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, and Markham’s Kindred Spirits Orchestra, where she serves this season as associate concert master.
