BradfordToday received the following letter from 93-year-old Bradford resident June Swindle on her first vaccination experience.
My name is June Swindle and I am 93 years of age, and a resident of Bradford.
Today I had my first COVID-19 shot, at the Bob Fallis arena on the 10th line (for ages 85 up).
I made my appointment after seeing the notice in BradfordToday recently. My appointment was for 12:15 p.m. I arrived 10 minutes early as they suggested, no line ups, and went right in. I was very impressed how well organized it was. Lots of people doing their designated jobs, and so very helpful.
All I needed was my health card. My son was allowed to accompany me, but because of all the help I am sure almost any senior would have no trouble going alone
The whole procedure including the 15-minute rest period after having the shot, only took 30 minutes.
Kudos to all involved, health care workers, volunteers etc for a job well done.
Sincerely,
June Swindle,
Bradford
