My Wish To You

Now, some folks know Ramadan will eventually appear,
And others, Chanukah’s been here, while Christmas time is near.

The stores are filled, as shoppers hustle, tirelessly searching, everywhere,
Buying gifts for their loved ones, so that happiness be shared.

And moms and dads are trimming trees, wrapping gifts, with ribbons and bows,
Some containing toys and dolls, some replace kids’ outgrown clothes.

While presence of so much sought peace, commanding so, now fills the air,
When love and kindness, now released, for all mankind to hopefully share.

The season’s sounds fill the air – profound – with music that, does now resound,
Across the seas – to nations bound – through God’s Son born, be so renowned.

While I recall – that very first – how Christmas long ago was spent;
Back then, just few would celebrate, but now by many, so prevalent.

And friends – regardless of your faith – absorb one thought, that resonates,
The calm enjoyed during this time and peace abroad, that propagates.

And so for you – and all of yours – I wish you peace, years: countless scores,
Not just today, tomorrows too, be filled not less – but only more.

And when you gift, if less or lots, please give a bit, to them who’ve not;
Know that your gesture won’t be forgot; when they give back, for what you’ve brought;

That – well I know in both, been there; and so I now, make you aware;
Yes, Merry Christmas too, be shared – and of course, spread love and care.
