As the coronavirus outbreak continues – and even as we practice social distancing and self isolation – it is more important than ever to ensure that we are taking care of one another.

These are unprecedented times, and many Canadians are struggling as a result. The Government of Canada has taken action to provide financial support and relief to families and businesses facing hardships. I will be supporting these emergency measures and working hard to ensure that residents can receive this support as quickly as possible.

My constituency office in Holland Landing remains open to assist residents of York-Simcoe with matters including Employment Insurance processes and aiding residents abroad. If you need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact my office at 905-898-1600 or by email at Scot.Davidson@parl.gc.ca.

The situation concerning the coronavirus outbreak continues to evolve day by day. As such, I am encouraging residents to follow my page on Facebook – in addition to information provided by local, regional, and provincial authorities – in order to stay up to date with the latest developments and advisories.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the medical practitioners and emergency and public services in York-Simcoe who are taking care of us throughout the coronavirus outbreak, in addition to small business owners, frontline workers, and others in the community who have stepped up to help their neighbours in their time of need.

I know that our community will remain strong and will pull together throughout the duration of this outbreak, and in the days and months to come. Please take care, and stay healthy.

Scot Davidson
