Baseball scores: Kayd Placido steals home twice in minor baseball action

Junior Rookie Hardball

Remax Chris Davies lost to IMBA Team No. 2 10-7. Noah R. came alive at bat and Dylan K. made a great defensive block to end a rough final inning.

Senior Rookie Hardball

Maria Chiodo RMT is now eight times undefeated after beating Innisfil Team No. 2 15-12.

The bats came alive for Team RMT with special mention to Andrew, Ethan and Matteo.

Hats off to Michael for driving in a number of runs with a fourth-inning triple! Great defensive playing by Bradley, Hayden, David and Michael.

Ryan’s Landscaping and Maria Chiodo RMT battled it out in a 20-20 game!

Three Ryan’s Landscaping players hit doubles, Riley, Liam and Charlie. Jordan added a triple! Defensively, Colby made a great out at second, Jacob made a great out at first, and Joshua caught a pop fly at third!

And hats off to Team RMT for battling back after going down eight runs after the first two innings. Special mention goes to Adam D. for going 3-3, and to both

Michael L. and David M. for back to back triples late in the game to tie things up.

Great fielding by Andrew R. and Evan B., who really kept things close for Team RMT.

Bantam Hardball

With only eight players, Bradford Team No. 2 put on a good show but lost 13-3 against Collingwood Team No. 1.

Nate and Christian managed to strike out nine players between them.

With only seven players, Bradford Team No. 2 also pulled off a big 19-6 win over New Lowell. Tanner H. pitched his first complete game of the season, earning eight strikeouts!!! Long balls for Adam A. with a triple and Alex S. with a double.

Mite Softball

Bradford Home Hardware relied on strong pitching and defence to secure a 12-8 win over the Jets.

Nicholas J. and Nathan teamed up for two great outs at first base, and Nicholas J. helped the cause with a fantastic home run!

Robert W. Ratusny Barrister & Solicitor won 14-7 against EGMSA Team No. 2.

Three hits from Jasmine, two hits from James, a double for Faith, and additional hits from Brandon, Riley and Jayden helped for the win!

Squirt Softball

State Farm had a tough battle against the first-place team, Selectronics.

Despite a rough start, State Farm didn't give up and came out with the win, 12-11.

Special mention goes out to Chris for his great hits at the plate and the incredible throw from the outfield for the final out.

Peewee Softball

It was an even 16-16 matchup between BMBA1 and BMBA3. Strong bats from Alex, Jack and Taylor.

Later in the week BMBA1 lost 12-9 against EGMSA. Great effort on the mound by Dawson and Fraser!

Bantam Softball

Remax Wilson Verduga and Royalty Stone tied it 17-17.

ReMax players of the game were Matthew T., who went three-for-four with a walk, a single, two home runs, four runs scored, and five RBIs.

Keegan T. went two-for-three with two walks, a single, a grand slam home run, three runs scored and four RBI.

Kayd Placido went four-for-four with a walk and four singles, three runs scored and five stolen bases, including stealing home twice. Kayd also turned an unassisted double play in the fourth inning.

Royalty Stone’s player Johnny S. was a lightning bolt with six stolen bases. Jace homered, and Sarah M. added with some great defence.
