Baseball scores: Rookie call ups make difference in victory over Innisfil

BradfordToday, in partnership with the Bradford Minor Baseball Association, brings you a regular feature highlighting local baseball scores

All games took place between July 15-22.

Bantam Softball

BMBA1 beat out Royalty Stone 15-5. Meagan and Alejandro were the stars of Royalty Stone with great defence.

Mite Softball

Jet’s Hockey Club took a 10-8 win against EG for the Jets first win of the season! Great tagging and catches by Lucas B. on first base.

Squirt Softball

State Farm could not get the bats going in a 6-8 loss against EG 3.

Special mention to Erin who had her best defensive game of the season with two great catches and a strong throw to first for an out.

The next day was another story in a great battle for State Farm in a 20-18 win over EG Lions. Special mention to Nick for his solid hits which brought in a run each time he was up to bat.

Peewee Softball

Alec hit a home run in BMBA1 10-16 loss against EGMSA. Strong defence from Matthew and Liam.

Junior Rookie Hardball

Remax Chris Davies had a strong game against IMBA1 and took a 19-1 win!

Eli S., Cooper B., and Liam B. all played great at defence and everyone did great at bat!

Later in the week the tides turned and Remax lost 6-21 against IMBA4. Noah R. and Emmett C had great turns at bat.

Senior Rookie Hardball

Great game tonight between Maria Chiodo RMT and Innisfil Team 4 with RMT taking a 15-9 win.

Great hitting by Andrew R., David M., and Adam D. Great defensive playing by Cole M., Jason F., and Harrison L.

Team RMT had a great fourth inning with David M. driving in two runs on a triple, followed by Adam D., who hit a nice double into the right field gap.

Special mention to our junior rookie call ups that made a difference for our team tonight, Jason F., Cole M., and Hayden.

The bats were hot for Ryan’s Landscaping and it was a full team effort that pulled off an 18-1 win against A&W Voltage.

Liam B. had a great single out to left field! Jacob and Anthony S. both had great singles that moved our runners around the bases!

Ben had his first double of the season! Triples for Jordan, Joshua and Charlie and a home run for Conner!
