Bradford Board of Trade says thank you with free barbecue

Local businesses provided food and Mother Nature provided perfect weather

The Bradford Board of Trade held its annual appreciation barbecue beneath the Millennium Clock Tower on Friday as a way to celebrate the summer and say thank you to its supporters.

“It means a lot to us to be able to show our appreciation to our members for their loyalty,” said board President Tina Morrison. “It’s great to see a lot of the community come out, to see their support for the Bradford Board of Trade and the business community.”

Business owners, staff, and residents came out to enjoy hamburgers cooked up by St. Louis Bar & Grill’s Dennis Rideout and Brian Carvalho on the commercial-sized grill provided by Cooper Equipment Rentals.

They mingled with executive members of the board and members of Bradford West Gwillimbury council, including Mayor Rob Keffer, who came out for the casual event.

With music by DJ Bob Hawkins, mini-cupcakes provided by Smoochies Cakery, and a perfect summer afternoon courtesy of Mother Nature, the appreciation barbecue was another success for the board.
