As the self-proclaimed “voice of business” in Bradford West Gwillimbury, the Bradford Board of Trade supports the local business community through education, networking, promotion and community-building events.

Those events include its annual appreciation barbecue held underneath the Millennium Clock Tower in Bradford, bringing businesses and residents together for an afternoon of music, food and networking — rain or shine.

This year’s barbecue takes place July 13 at the clock tower at 61 Holland St. E. from noon to 2 p.m.

Attendees can enjoy hot dogs and hamburgers grilled by a team from St. Louis Bar & Grill on a barbecue provided by Cooper Equipment Rentals, which is also donating pop and juice.

Water Depot is setting up a water cooler filled with fresh, pure water, and Smoochies Cakery plans to bring an array of mini cupcakes.

Everything is free. Come out, meet local business owners and representatives, network, learn more about the Bradford Board of Trade, and enjoy a summer barbecue as the organization says thank you to the community that supports its member businesses.
