More and more boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18 are coming out for the new 37 Flight Air Cadets, which meet at Fieldcrest Elementary School every Thursday evening in Bradford West Gwillimbury.

Not yet a full squadron, 37 Flight is under the wing of Newmarket 94 Squadron — but in May of next year, it will host its parade, annual review, and official launch.

In the meantime, the young air cadets are learning drill and the basics of flight under the guidance of their leaders and sponsors, including the Royal Canadian Legion in Bradford.

Recently, the legion presented 37 Flight with the flag of the Air Cadets of Canada. The flag will be carried by the cadet colour party at special events.

Once the Squadron is launched, it will be carried beside the official flag of the Bradford Orville Hand 37 Squadron Air Cadets.
