Bradford photographer offering fall sessions in support of local teen in need of a kidney

Half the proceeds from the photo sessions will go to the MacIsaac family

Local phtographer Cassidy Hilliard of Hillside Photography is offering fall photo sessions next month in support of Bradford teen Daleyn MacIsaac, who is looking for a kidney donor as she battles a rare autoimmune disease, ANCA vasculitis.

When MacIssac was first diagnosed late last summer, community members stepped up to support the family through various fundraisers and donations to help with their finances and associated costs from their frequent visits to Sick Kids Hospital.

Hilliard was the one who organized the Bowling for Daleyn fundraising event at Bradford Underground Bowl in December, and she wanted to do something again to help the family after learning that Daleyn is now looking for a kidney donor.

"Raising money for the family was the priority before, now more than ever I want to help find her a kidney," said Hilliard.

Not only will half the proceeds of the photo sessions go to the family, but Hilliard will be handing out information packets on organ donations.

"I want to help save this girl's life, I pray if my daughters were ever in this situation that my home town would do as much as they could to help," she said.

Hilliard will be offering 30 minute fall photo sessions at Scanlon Creek the weekend of Oct. 17 and 18 for $100, with half the proceeds going to the MacIsaac family. Forms for organ donors and living donor brochures will be given to each participant to help find Daleyn a donor.

Anyone interested in booking a session can send a message to Hilliard on her business Facebook page, or call 905-252-9830.
