The Ontario Fire Marshal (OFM) is continuing its investigation into the structure fire that occurred on Canal Road last Thursday in Bradford West Gwillimbury.

Emergency crews attended the scene on Canal Road late Thursday morning where an RV was engulfed in flames.

An 87-year-old man who resides in the RV was taken to a local hospital in critical condition before being transferred to a Toronto hospital, where police say he remains in critical but stable condition.

"A determination of a cause at this time would be speculative as the investigation remains ongoing and I cannot comment further," OFM spokesperson Sean Driscoll told BradfordToday Monday afternoon.

BradfordToday will provide an update once the investigation is complete.
