CONTACT Community Services is pleased to present Keeping Connected seniors’ wellness programs throughout south Simcoe, which is funded in part by the Ontario Seniors Community Grant Program and the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.

CONTACT will be hosting a comprehensive selection of entertaining and informative free seniors programming in the upcoming months.

Seniors will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of arts programs, learning seminars, health and safety training, cooking and live music, provided by local experts at multiple locations in south Simcoe. Most programs will include free takeaways to further enhance the experience at home.

The creative fundamentals of these activities directly develop and enhance seniors’ inventiveness, and seniors’ health will also benefit through socialization with others while learning new ways to cope and keep connected with those they love.

Keeping Connected seniors’ wellness programs will have a long-lasting and positive impact on the overall community providing social engagement, personal stimulation, and a creative outlet in a group setting. It will also help seniors learn coping strategies for the longer term, develop friendships, build confidence, and discover/re-engage in hobbies.
