The following is a running list of events, businesses and organizations that have announced cancellations, closures or postponements due to COVID-19. Innisfil Town Hall (located at 2101 Innisfil Beach Rd.) will close to the public at the end of the day Wednesday, March 18 and stay closed until Monday, April 6, 2020. Despite this, residents can still get full Customer Service support during normal business hours at 705-436-3710 and through our numerous digital channels at https://innisfil.ca/contactus/.

SportClip Haircuts closed up until April 3.

Effective 4:30 p.m. on March 17, 2020, the following services and facilities in the County of Simcoe are being closed to the public until further notice: ·       

  •  Simcoe County Library Co-operative       
  •  Simcoe County Archives        
  •  Simcoe County Museum       
  •  Tourism Simcoe County Information Kiosk        
  • County Administration Centre – including the Service Simcoe Desk (phone lines and other means of contact remain open)        
  • County of Simcoe Landfills and Transfer Stations – closed to the public. (Industrial, Commercial and Institutional customers who have no alternative disposal options are encouraged to contact Service Simcoe at [email protected] or 1-800-263-3199)       
  • All county events and gatherings, including in-person Council and Committees, are cancelled for March and into April

Habitat for Humanity Huronia has decided to do the following:

    •    Affiliate office is closed to the public until April 6. The affiliate team will be working remotely to continue serving families in our community.
    •    We are suspending all Volunteer shifts and activities until April 6. We ask all volunteers to stay tuned to their emails and social media for ongoing updates.
    •    Our Kitchens to Homes program is suspended until April 6.
    •    Our two ReStores, Barrie and Alliston, are closed to the public until April 6.
    •    ReStores will not be accepting any donations until April 6.
    •    We are implementing the advice and guidance from local public health experts to maintain due diligence in our Health and Safety practices.

Out of an abundance of caution, Girl Guides of Canada have made the decision to suspend all in-person Girl Guide activities until Tuesday, April 14, beginning immediately. This course of action was chosen to ensure the health and well-being of girls, adult members, volunteers and the greater community

GoodLife Fitness and Fit4Less are closing all locations across Canada until further notice. 

Probus Club of Bradford meeting on Wednesday, March 18 has been cancelled.

Genesis Gymnastics closed March 15 at 4 p.m. until April 6. 

Starting Wednesday, March 18, GO Transit will be running on reduced schedules.

A Hand Up Clothing Room closed until April 6. 

Upper Canada Mall will have reduced hours initially for the next two weeks. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting March 16.

Innisfil Town Hall remains open, however, visitors will be limited to public areas of the building. We encourage residents to utilize online resources available at www.innisfil.ca or to contact Customer Service at 705-436-3710 or [email protected].

All Innisfil fire stations are closed to the public but remain operational.

The Innisfil Recreational Complex and YMCA will close at the end of the day and remain closed until April 6, 2020. In addition, all other Town arenas are also closed and programming is cancelled. For information about refunds contact Active Innisfil at 705-436-3710 or [email protected] 

Innisfil ideaLAB and library has announced that all library branches will be closed and programs cancelled until April 6, 2020. This includes all March Break programs and special events. Customer service can be reached at (705) 431-7410 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Residents can access e-books, e-audio and downloads at www.innisfilidealab.ca

St. John's Presbyterian Church closed until April 6. 

Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls closed until April 2.

Promise Church Bradford will host a virtual service at 10:30 a.m. Sundays until further notice.

The Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival at the Kortright Centre for Conservation, and at Bruce’s Mills has been cancelled.

Town of Innisfil IdeaLAB and Library Programming, Recreation and Leisure Programming, Special Council Meeting all cancelled.

Town of BWG Library, Leisure Centre, Bob Fallis Sports Centre and Bradford and District Memorial and Community Centre closed from March 14-April 6.

The Tecumseth and West Gwillimbury Historical Society have cancelled the local history talk with author Ralph Braden and annual general meeting scheduled for Monday, March 16 in Newton Robinson. All EarlyON Centres in Simcoe County closed until April 6.

Elite Dance Corps closed March 14- April 5.

Danube Seniors Centre is closed at least until April 6.

The Commuters Supper in Churchill on March 19.

Georgian College's VR Hackathon scheduled for Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 at the Barrie campus has been postponed until the fall. This event wasn’t open to the public, but college officials wanted to let people know.

The Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons concerts scheduled for Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22 at Casino Rama Resort have been postponed. The casino is working to reschedule the performance and will provide details once available. People can hold onto their original tickets, which will be honoured for the rescheduled performance, or they can get a refund. Anyone looking for a refund must return to the original point of purchase.

Georgian College officials announced today that they have cancelled this weekend's powwow at the Barrie campus due to concerns over COVID-19.

Cineplex has closed all of its theatres.

The National Hockey League announced this afternoon that it has postponed the 2019-20 season, beginning with games scheduled for Thursday night.

The National Lacrosse League is temporarily suspending play until further notice. 

Major League Baseball season will be postponed by two weeks. Regular season games will resume April 9.

The National Basketball Association has suspended play for the remainder of the season.

The Ontario Hockey League has paused their season until further notice

The Bradford Wolves have suspended all play until further notice.

The Local Market vendor event in Bradford on March 29 has been cancelled but will host a virtual event instead.

Bradford Diversity and Inclusion Cafe on March 14 has been cancelled.

All publicly funded schools in Ontario to be closed from March 14 - April 5.

York University suspending all face to face instruction as of March 16.

Georgian College campuses cancel all in-person classes until further notice. On-line learning resumes March 23.

Humber College cancelling all in-class learning from March 16-20.

Western University cancelling all classes until March 17. Online classes will resume March 18.

University of Toronto cancels all classes at St. George, Scarborough and Mississauga campuses. Teaching will be delivered through other means.

Spring Garden and Home Show at Bradford Greenhouses in Barrie on March 14 and 15 has been cancelled.

Little Kickers Soccer Programs cancelled. 

Bradford Soccer Club has suspended all activity as per Ontario Soccer.

Run for Southlake on April 26, postponed.

Simcoe County March Break camps and meetings cancelled.
