A dump truck driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Essa Township.
The dump truck was involved in a collision with a full-sized pickup at around 2:45 p.m., say Nottawasaga OPP.
In the wake of the crash on County Road 21, between the 8th and 10th Lines, the driver of the dump truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
Technical collision reconstructionists have been activated. Nottawasaga OPP and Essa Fire also remain on the scene.
Police expect the investigation to take several hours and request motorists be patient.
At present, County Road 21 is closed from the 8th Line to the 10th Line. As well, the 9th Line, north and south, is closed.
