Enjoy free music and movies throughout July and August

Events take place on alternate Thursday evenings on the west lawn beside the BWG Public Library and Cultural Centre

THE TOWN OF BRADFORD WEST GWILLIMBURY

Enjoy outdoor entertainment again this summer with free outdoor movies and Music in the Park events hosted by the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. Events take place on alternate Thursday evenings during the months of July and August on the west lawn beside the BWG Public Library and Cultural Centre.

Music in the Park, presented by Vaughan Chrysler, features live performances by the following bands:
    •    Thursday, July 5, 7 - 9 p.m. – New Kid (salute to The Eagles)
    •    Thursday, July 19, 7 - 9 p.m. – Neon Rain (country music)
    •    Thursday, Aug. 2, 7 - 9 p.m. – Big Shiny ‘90s (rock and alternative hits of the ‘90s)
    •    Thursday, Aug. 16, 7 - 9 p.m. – The Argues (indie country-rock family band)

Outdoor movies, presented by Summerlyn Dental, features the following movies on a large screen outside under the stars. Movies start at dusk, with pre-movie activities starting at 8 p.m.:

    •    Thursday, July 12 – Lady and the Tramp (supporting sponsor: Genesis Gymnastics)
    •    Thursday, July 26 – Peter Rabbit (supporting sponsor: No Frills)
    •    Thursday, Aug. 9 – Coco (special guests: BWG Fire and Emergency Services)
    •    Thursday, Aug. 23 – Wrinkle in Time (supporting sponsor: Oxford Learning)

All events are free and residents are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks and enjoy the outdoor entertainment. Some weeks will include food vendors and additional entertainment attractions. “Both outdoor movies and Music in the Park are excellent examples of events that the town is able to offer due to the generous support of local businesses and sponsorships,” says Terry Foran, director of community services. “These partnerships allow the Town to broaden the range of opportunities for residents and provide a variety of events that families can enjoy during the summer months.”
