Families go to infinity and beyond at the Bradford library (6 photos)

The BWG Public Library is getting on the Toy Story bandwagon, with a theme party and escape room

Buzz Lightyear, Sheriff Woody, Mr. Potato Head – and new character Forkie, a spork – were all at the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library on Wednesday for the Toy Story Party.

Kids could make Toy Story crafts, play games, pose in the photo booth and take part in a scavenger hunt, all on a Toy Story 4 theme, at the sold-out event.

There were treats and snacks, and plenty of party favours to take home, or to “infinity and beyond!”

The party isn’t the only Toy Story-themed event at the library this summer. Kids ages seven to 11 are invited to sign up for the Toy Story Escape Room, on Fri., July 26.

Teams of six will have 40 minutes to help the toys escape from Andy’s bedroom by solving puzzles and finding clues. It is a free event, but participants must register for a time slot, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The next movie-themed family extravaganza will take place on Wed., July 31 – a Lion King Party, for ages three and up, from 1-2:30 p.m. There will be crafts, games and activities on a Lion King theme for $5 per person. Space is limited – register as soon as possible for an afternoon of hakuna matata.
