ALLISTON – FLATO® Developments is proud to announce its contribution of $10,000 towards the Alliston Out of the Cold community support program. This generous donation will help Allison Out of the Cold provide safe, respectful and welcoming overnight accommodations, outreach and meals to those experiencing homelessness and/or food insecurity in New Tecumseth and surrounding areas.

“We are ecstatic that FLATO Developments has provided this much-needed assistance at this crucial time of year,” said Jenifer Pergentile, Executive Director for Alliston Out of the Cold. “It’s been a difficult year to support our community given the additional challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are extremely grateful to FLATO for their commitment to our community by providing such generous support.”

FLATO Developments has long and distinguished history of giving back to the community in the cities and towns within which they build. The homebuilder is currently developing Beeton Village and GreenRidge, two master-planned communities with single detached homes and townhomes in the Town of New Tecumseth.

“I am tremendously pleased to make a financial contribution to the Alliston Out of the Cold program,” said Shakir Rehmatullah, President and Founder of FLATO Developments. “Given the unique challenges and strains on community systems we’ve had to endure throughout much of this year, it’s more crucial than ever to support such a valuable organization as Alliston Out of the Cold to help people who are struggling to get on their feet and move forward.”

This donation follows other charitable programs FLATO has initiated in southern Ontario communities. Most recently, FLATO made a $1 million gift to improve access to healthcare in Dundalk, where the developer is currently building almost 1,500 homes in the communities of Edgewood Suites, Edgewood Greens and Carriage House.

Additional recent community support initiatives include donating approximately $500,000 for Personal Protective Equipment to help in the fight against COVID-19 as well as donations to local Ontario food banks to help those in need during these difficult times. FLATO also supports the Markdale Hospital and has the naming rights of the hospital lobby.
