As part of Greater Life Community Church’s mandate to give back to the community, it has hosted a free Thanksgiving dinner ever year for the last five years.
Church members come together to cook up a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and serve it to whoever drops in on the Friday of the long weekend, with help from the sitting mayor and council.
“We just feed whoever comes,” said Pastor Eaton Grant. “That’s how we give back.”
This year’s dinner was held in the handicap-accessible St. John’s Presbyterian Church in Bradford. Families, seniors — all came out to enjoy dinner, service and fellowship in a spirit of Thanksgiving.
