Tim Hortons’ annual Smile Cookie campaign continues all this week, through Sept. 22.

Buy a Smile Cookie – a big chocolate chunk cookie, with blue eyes and a big pink smile – for only $1, and all of the proceeds will go towards the local charity of choice.

In Bradford, franchise owners Jack and Perry Thornton have made Commubity & Home Assistance to Seniors (CHATS) the recipient of Smile Cookie proceeds – a five year commitment that has allowed CHATS to purchase a new wheelchair-accessible van for its transportation program.

This is the final year of the commitment, paying for the van which is already busy and active on Bradford's roads, ferrying seniors to appointments and shopping.

Last year, the Smile Cookie campaign raised $11,000 at all four Bradford locations. This year, the Thorntons and staff are hoping to beat that total - with a smile.

To see where your money is going, just watch for the CHATS van, with the Tim Hortons logo in the window.
