A Bradford West Gwillimbury networking group presented the Helping Hand Food Bank with a cheque for $1,872 this week.

The money was raised at the Let’s Taco ‘Bout the Food Bank fundraiser hosted by Successful Women Always Networking (SWAN) at Made in Mexico in September, as well as from the group’s membership fees.

The food bank was SWAN’s charity of choice this year.

At the fundraiser, 15 per cent of all food sales, 100 per cent of raffle ticket sales, and $5 to sing karaoke all went to the food bank.

A cheque was presented to the food bank’s president Anne Silvey on Nov. 20 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Bradford.
