SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE SERVICE

INNISFIL - South Simcoe Police Service officers in conjunction with the Office of the Fire Marshal continue to investigate a suspicious fire at Friday Harbour on Big Bay Point Road in Innisfil. Police were called to a construction site on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, following a fire in a fourth floor condo unit under construction. The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal deemed the fire suspicious. As a result, the South Simcoe Police Service Criminal Investigation Bureau (C.I.B.) was notified. There were no injuries in the blaze. Damage estimate is undetermined at this time.

Today, the South Simcoe Police Service Command Post will be set up at 1 p.m. at Friday Harbour as officers continue to gather information. Anyone with information is asked to go to the Command Post to speak with detectives or call South Simcoe Police Service at (905) 775-3311, (705) 436-2141 or Crime Stoppers.
