Drivers can expect a lane reduction on Davis Drive overnight for construction on Keith Bridge.

A York Region construction notice stated improvements are being made at Keith Bridge, on Davis between Main Street and Bayview Avenue. Crews will be sealing a joint connecting two sections of the bridge March 16 to 19.

The work will require lane reductions on the bridge, but work is taking place between midnight and 5 a.m. on weekdays.

“We understand road construction creates challenges for the community, and we are working to deliver this project with minimal disruption. Thank you for your patience during the construction period,” the region said.

The region said it will maintain access to homes and businesses during these hours. It added that work could get rescheduled due to weather and advance notice will be provided if so.

“Transportation improvements prepare York Region to meet the needs of motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, and transit users today and into the future,” the region said.

The region also undertook construction at the Keith Bridge in 2019 over five months to address barrier walls cracking.
