The Bradford West Gwillimbury Friends of the Library are doing it again.

After a record success with their February book sale, they are holding another Spring Book Sale in May, raising funds for library programming.

Thousands of paperbacks, hardcover books, CDs and DVDs will be available at bargain prices, May 24-26 at the Library. Some are ‘discards’ from the library’s collection, but most have been donated by the community.

Friday is Preview Night, from 7 to 9 p.m. For $10 per family, book lovers will get first pick of the sale items – from do-it-yourself books, to popular fiction and non-fiction, art books and limited editions, CDs, DVDs and, this time around, jigsaw puzzles.

"We are going to experiment with jigsaw puzzles, from people who put them together and feel that once is enough," said Milt Calder, a Friends of the Library member. "Prices will be excellent for the puzzles."

He added: "We have been getting many DVDs and CDs, which have become very popular ... As usual, we have a large selection of children's books, and a great number of books for young adults and teens."

Admission is free on Saturday and Sunday. The sale goes from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on May 25, and 1 to 3:30 p.m. on May 26.

The BWG Public Library and Cultural Centre is located at 425 Holland St. West in Bradford.

"Look forward to seeing you there," said Calder.
