Christine, a 55-year-old event planner, said she is an occasional player. “It was actually my friend that encouraged me to get a ticket!”
The mother and grandmother said she used the ticket checker while grocery shopping. “I saw ‘Big Winner - $100,000.’ I was so excited I put all my groceries back on the shelves and rushed out to the car to get my son!”
Christine said they celebrated in the car the whole way home and have been celebrating since. “We laughed, we cried, we did everything. It was wonderful.”
Christine plans to treat her children to a once-in-a-lifetime family vacation when the pandemic is over and is going to cover a month of rent for her friend that encouraged her to buy a ticket in the first place.
“This feels fantastic. It’s a beautiful Christmas present,” she concluded.
