Motorcyclist, 25, killed in East Gwillimbury crash

Police are looking for witnesses after a 25-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash with a pickup truck Tuesday.

The driver of the GMC truck, a 23-year-old Georgina man, was not injured.

The crash happened in the area of Highway 11 and Bathurst Street in East Gwillimbury around 3:50 p.m., according to police.

The driver of the white Honda motorcycle, who was from Newmarket, died at the scene.

The York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit is asking anyone with information on the crash, especially the directions of travel for both vehicles before the collision, to contact them.
