The 39-year-old Woodbridge man killed yesterday afternoon in a Highway 401 collision in which a driver is charged with impaired has been identified by the OPP as Paolo Brizzi.
Rakunath Kanagaratnam, 55, of Toronto is currently in custody and charged with impaired operation causing death and refusal to comply with breath demand, according to OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt of the Highway Safety Division.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on westbound Highway 401 near Keele Street at about 4:30 p.m. Aug 17.
