GLOWING HEARTS CHARITY

It may seem early in the year to be thinking about heading back to school, but Glowing Hearts Charity (GHC) is already hard at work preparing for its 2022 Backpacks for Youth program and nominations are now open.
Last year, through the generosity of community members and sponsors, GHC was able to support 600 children/youth with the supplies they needed to head back to school, and this year that goal has increased to support 1,000 students.
Backpacks, school supplies, water bottles, and lunch kits will be packed specifically for each child to reflect the information shared with GHC, giving students supported through the program what they need to head back to the classroom feeling excited and empowered to start the new school year.
GHC gets the supplies directly into the hands of those who need them most through community members, partners, agencies, and schools nominating students and household members nominating their own children/youth. Nominators are anonymous, and if a child is nominated by someone outside of the household, GHC reaches out to confirm whether or not they want to be included in the program.
