TOWNSHIP OF ESSA, ADJALA- TOSORONTIO & TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH - As the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) gears up for the Canada Day Long Weekend Aggressive Driving Campaign, Nottawasaga OPP officers will be watching for drivers who speed and engage in other forms of aggression from June 29 to July 2, 2018.

With the increase in traffic during this long weekend, patrolling the roads for aggressive drivers will be a top priority for the Nottawasaga OPP.

Officers will also be focusing on behaviours that put drivers, passengers and other road users most at risk such as distracted drivers, those not wearing seatbelts and motorists who drive while impaired by drugs or alcohol.

The Nottawasaga OPP would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable long weekend. Please remember that compliance with traffic laws is every driver's responsibility.
