The first thing to be said is that this is one of the most one-sided set of reader poll results in recent memory.
We asked: "For parents: Do you worry that it will be harder for your children to afford a home than it was for you?" The vast majority of 4,293 of you said yes.
There was a small gender difference, if you want to look for it:
Not much difference by educational category:
Not much difference by whether kids under 18 were living at home:
Only the smallest differences by political affiliation:
Some difference based on whether readers were worried about heating their homes this winter, which we use as a proxy for economic insecurity more generally. But even among the most economically secure group, more than three-quarters are worried:
But no difference at all based on who readers thought was most to blame for the housing affordability crisis:
Very little difference by age group:
And very little difference by region (This one was a bit surprising, since housing affordability varies quite a bit across Ontario):
The only conclusion to be drawn here is that this is an overwhelming issue for the vast majority of families in the province.
