A unattended BBQ started a fire, spreading into the walls and roof of the rear porch of a building at the intersection of Highways 88 and 27 in Bond Head.
The old commercial building had been converted into apartments.
A total of five apparatus quickly attended and firefighters were able to stop the spread of fire into the large main building.

BWG Fire crews and South Simcoe Police are on scene of a structure fire at Highway 27 and County Road 88.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
