Time is running out to enter Bradford Lions Club car draw

An early-bird draw worth $1,000 will take place at Carrot Fest this weekend

Each year the Bradford Lions Club's Mammoth Draw raises funds for the club's community projects – including, this year, the Field House at the new Henderson Memorial Park.

The Mammoth Draw offers prizes worth more than $119,400 – including cash prizes ranging from $500 to $2,000, the second prize of a brand-new Chevrolet Camaro, and grand prize of an fully-loaded 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. There are also three early-bird draws worth $1,000 each.

The second early-bird draw will be taking place at Carrot Fest this Saturday on the main stage.

Tickets are $100 each and admit two to the main draw, held at the Bradford and District Memorial Community Centre on Sept. 8. The annual event not only features an elimination-style draw, but a beef-on-a-bun buffet, social gaming evening, and live entertainment with Legends tribute artists.

The catch: only 1,700 tickets are printed each year, and, according to club member Bob Pegg, “We are 85 per cent sold and going fast, so people need to purchase their tickets sooner than later!”

Tickets are available from any Bradford Lions Club member, at various retail outlets in town, or call 905-775-9170. Tickets will also be available at Carrot Fest at the Lions' Car Draw display. Get yours before 5 p.m. on Saturday to have a chance to win the early-bird prize.

A final early-bird draw will take place on Aug. 25 at Lions Appreciation Day – but the tickets may be sold out by then. All early-bird winners are re-entered for the main draw on Sept. 8.
