Touch a Truck event lets people climb aboard town vehicles

Get a close-up look at the town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s vehicles at Touch a Truck!

Learn about the various trucks, plows, and emergency vehicles that operate in our community. Presented by Summerlyn Dental Care, Touch a Truck will take place on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Henderson Memorial Park located on Line 9, west of Sideroad 10.  This free, family-friendly event includes the opportunity to check out, climb aboard and take pictures with over 15 different trucks such as a Zamboni, backhoe, tractors, and more.

Don’t forget to track which vehicles you have seen by getting your Touch a Truck passport stamped! Enjoy free small ice cream cones sponsored by Mister Treats while supplies last. Be sure to participate in activities like paint a plow, colouring, crafts, and photo frames. Stop by the town of Bradford West Gwillimbury booths for giveaways and water safety and camp information.

Touch a Truck is being held during National Public Works Week. This year, National Public Works Week is from May 16-22, 2022, and celebrates the value of the essential services public works provides across North America.

This event is open to everyone and all activities are free of charge. Parking is limited. This event is made possible with the support of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s Community Services and Emergency Services departments, South Simcoe Police, and is sponsored by Summerlyn Dental Care and Mister Treats.
