Two cats pulled from fire Sunday morning in Bradford

Firefighters from two departments, South Simcoe police and paramedics attended the scene

Bradford and King firefighters, South Simcoe police and area paramedics were called to a structure fire at the intersection of River Road and Canal Road in Bradford Sunday morning.

Witnesses said the house contained several residential units.

Fire crews used water from the Holland River on the other side of the road and the Sovereign Grace Church to help extinguish the blaze.

Two cats were brought out of the building and attended to by fire crews and paramedics. However, one has been pronounced dead. 

The property is in Bradford West Gwillimbury, close to the King Township border.
