2:40 p.m. update

The Bradford Minor Baseball Association has informed BradfordToday that the missing equipment has been returned.

Original release

The Bradford Minor Baseball Association (BMBA) was robbed of a valuable pitching machine and three bases sometime between Tuesday, June 12 at 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday, June 13 at 5:45 p.m.

The $2,000 pitching machine, used for junior rookie and senior rookie hardball games, was taken from a locked box that the league has at Joe Magani Field #2.

There was no damage done to the lock or to the box and many keys have been passed out over the years. The lock even matches that of the local men's league which adds to the list of people with access to it.

Unfortunately due to the cost, the BMBA does not currently have a replacement for this machine and has been forced to drastically adjust the children's games and practices while a new machine is ordered.

If anyone has any information about this incident they are encouraged to contact the BMBA  at [email protected] or Crime Stoppers.
