Local residents are asked not to water their lawns or wash their cars this week while the Innisfil Water Treatment Plant is shut down for upgrading work.

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has put water-use restrictions in place from July 10 at 7 a.m., to July 11 at 11:59 p.m.

In that time, residents are not permitted wash their cars or water their lawns. The town is also asking residents to voluntarily postpone “non-essential water uses,” such as using recreational sprinklers and filling pools.

The water treatment plant, which is a source of water for the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, may have more upgrading work to do this summer, so there may be more restrictions or shut downs.

Water restrictions were previously put in place in BWG on July 4 for the same purposes.

For more information, contact the town’s water division: 905-775-5369, ext. 2300.
