Whether you want to get spooked, find a treasure, or meet a new animal friend, there are several events happening this weekend in Bradford West Gwillimbury.

SATURDAY, OCT. 27

Downtown Spooktacular

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Innisfil ideaLAB & Library’s Lakeshore Branch, 967 Innisfil Beach Rd., Alcona

Family-friendly Halloween-themed activities, from ghost stories and songs, to a photobooth, followed by trick-or-treating at businesses on Innisfil Beach Road that are displaying the Downtown Spooktacular poster.

Treasure Sale

8-11 a.m.

Bradford United Church, 66 Barrie St.

Treasures culled from closets, cupboards, basements and garages can be yours for a donation to the church. Or rent a table for $15 and host your own indoor yard sale at the church.

Wishing Well Animal Sanctuary tours

12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

2710 Line 10, Bradford

$20 per person, or $60 for a family of four. Kids under three are free.

Sanctuary tours run on the second Sunday and last Saturday of each month from March through November. Meet and interact with the Wishing Well family of rescued former farm animals.

Tours run about two to 2 ½ hours long. Closed toe footwear is recommended. Parking is available immediately to the right of the sanctuary entrance. Please leave pets at home.

Vegetarian burgers will be served after the tour for $5 each.

Boo Museum

1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Elman W. Campbell Museum, Main Street South, Newmarket

Halloween displays, crafts and a Halloween Hunt, for ages four to 10.

Admission is $3 per child.

Also, parents can meet local author Andrew Hind, author of the book, Canadian Monsters and Mythical Creatures. Hind will be signing copies, available for $16.95.

Euchre Party

1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Doors open at 1 p.m.

Bradford United Church, 66 Barrie St.

Tickets are $10 at the door, for a social afternoon of cards, refreshments and prizes.

Halloween Boo-nanza

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

19 Queen St., Cookstown

Hosted by the Cookstown Chamber of Commerce

Event followed by trick-or-treating at Cookstown businesses displaying the Boonanza poster in their windows.

Halloween Spooktacular

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library, 425 Holland St. W.

A free drop-in program, for ages two and up, with Halloween crafts, a spooky room, scavenger hunt and more. Wear a costume!

SUNDAY, OCT. 28

Halloween Fun Run

Registration at 9 a.m., run starts at 10 a.m.

Innisfil Beach Park

Event in support of the Rizzardo Health & Wellness Centre. Wear a costume!

Food and prizes. Minimum donation is $10.
