In a great game played by both teams, Vin Bon edged out Desjardins Insurance–Debbie Moran with a score of 8-6. Team Vin Bon got in some nice hits early, but Desjardins Insurance was able to catch up in the second inning. Eva had a great night with two hits to get on base, and the second time she sprinted super fast and narrowly missed being run out, even though it caused her a collision that sent her off the base. Her heart and grit were commendable! Between this and a great out by Reily at third in the last inning, an excellent team performance allowed team Vin Bon to earn the win. Well done, team! Your coaches are proud of you.

Kumi Canada played two great games last week, beating Flemming Properties 13-11 and losing to Vince’s Market 10-5. All Kumi players are making great progress, but key plays included Liam and Talia both getting outs at third base; Alexis charging a ball for an out at home; and Jordan and Nathan teaming up for an out at second base.
The hightlight for Vince’s Market happened in the fourth inning when Anthony snatched on a couple of hard hit balls to first to record outs in both cases. Maya pounced on a ball hit to left field and quickly returned the ball to the infield to deny the opponent any runs. At the plate, she had two hard hits in the second and fourth, which allowed her to come around and score.

Bradford’s Peewee Select Fastball team went 3-0 in Unionville over its weekend tournament. That's championship No. 2 for the Peewee Select Storm team!

Bradford Navy Blue Team got its first win over its rivals Bradford Red with a 12-8 victory last Monday night. Great contributions from all, and a stellar pitching performance from Kaitlyn N. Among the many highlights was a colossal home run by Davis that was rumoured to have landed in the IKEA parking lot, as well as Jonathan turning a natural single into a home run by way of his incredible speed.

Wednesday night's game began well enough for Bradford Navy Blue Team despite missing some key players. A cluster of errors in the fourth and a lacklustre plate performance in the last frame cost them any chance at victory. One highlight from the game was the performance of Bantam Select call up player Cam. Undaunted, the team continues to battle in its quest for the championship.

Bliss Pools wins 14-7 against Bradford Curling Club thanks to excellent bats coming specifically from Anthony, Sebastian and Malachi, and with exceptional fielding from Owynn, Kole and Brooklyn, each with unassisted outs. The Bliss Pools squad continued to make an entire team contribution with another excellent win. A special game highlight was Anthony catching a mile-high pop fly for an impressive out!

Ryan’s Landscaping took down IMBA 3 in a 20-4 game where the Storm’s defence was on point!
The first two innings had three up, three down! Alexander and Anthony both caught high pop flys for the outs. Amazing all-round team play on the diamond.

Team Many Hands, Doing Good kicked off its week with a big game in Innisfil. The team faced some serious pitchers, but it remained focused and were able to make good contact driving the ball into the outfield. The Innisfil offence was also strong, but William, Adam R. and Tristan did their best on the mound. Despite the team's efforts, it lost to the Innisfil team 19-6.

Team Bradford Sluggers saw a slugfest this week at the community centre. Unfortunately, the team with the name "sluggers" came up just short, as Carron Farms defeated the Bradford Sluggers 14-10. Standout performances from Ben scoring two runs for the Sluggers, and Landon with a rip as well.

The Bradford Minor Moqsuito Rep A team was host to 12 teams this weekend for a home tournament. The Bradford team played well all weekend but in the end it was Orillia who took home the top spot.

The Bradford U11 Select team participated in the Richmond Hill Select Tournament over the beautiful weekend. It finished the round-robin winning three games in a row. It moved on to the semi finals winning 9-5 against the host team, Richmond Hill. Finally, it went up against North Toronto A's, but lost in the championship game, placing second out of 10 teams. Great showing for this hard-working team!

Under-13

The Bradford Peewee Rep team hosted 12 teams over the weekend for a sunny tournament. The Bradford team won two out of three games and had a great weekend on the diamonds! In the end, Richmond Hill took the gold.
