The Newmarket Minor Softball Association (NMSA) "The Stingers" is inviting you to drop off your gently used softball gear, gloves, bats, helmets, cleats, pants and equipment at Vince's Market locations on Mulock Drive in Newmarket or Leslie Street in Sharon.

"What a great way to PlayitForward to help a kid play softball in Newmarket," said Glenn Burton, NMSA director at large. "February is a great month to check around the house and gather up your old gently used gear."

"Equipment can be expensive and we are excited that we may be able to help offset costs to encourage your child to become active and play softball," Burton added.

The initiative is part of the Stingers 2019 #PlayitForward campaign.

The NMSA team will take in the gear, organize it and then will be hosting a garage sale prior to the season starting in May.

"Vince's Market has been an incredible sponsor of the Stingers for 20 years and truly understands the meaning of 'community'," Burton said.

Collection of gear will run throughout the month of February.

Follow NMSA on Twitter @newmkt_softball for details about the sale.
