INNISFIL - A 15-year-old Innisfil girl was charged following a pursuit involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).

On Tuesday, March 24, 2020 around 2 p.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer observed an ATV driving dangerously in the area of Centre Avenue and St. Johns Road in Innisfil. The officer pursued the vehicle which stopped and the driver was arrested.

A 15-year-old Innisfil girl was charged with dangerous driving and flight from police. She was released with a future court date. She cannot be identified due to provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

With our young citizens on an extended school break, we encourage students and parents to find safe activities to pass the time. This is an unprecedented situation and we want everyone to stay safe. Practice social distancing, wash your hands and lets work together to get through this.
