Boater facing impaired charge after collision on Kahshe Lake

The boater was taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries after colliding with the shoreline

On June 27, 2020 at 2 a.m. Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to vessel that had collided with a shoreline on Kahshe Lake in Gravenhurst. The operator of the vessel and his passenger were transported to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. A search warrant was sought for the operator's blood as a part of the investigation and on Sept. 17, 2020, 58-year-old Daniel Clune of Bradford, Ont. was charged with Operation while Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b). He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Oct. 27, 2020 to answer to his charges.
