Bradford driver stopped going over twice the speed limit

A man had his licence and vehicle seized for seven days after a vehicle was clocked doing more than twice the posted speed limit in Bradford.

On Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, at 8:00 p.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officers conducting speed enforcement in the area of Dissette Street obtained a speed measurement of 104 km/h in the posted 50 km/h zone. Police conducted a vehicle stop. As a result of an investigation, 33-year-old Zafur Ahmad of Bradford was charged with speeding, stunt driving, fail to surrender licence and fail to surrender insurance card. His licence was suspended for seven days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. The accused was given a court date in December.
