A 41-year-old Bradford man is charged with Over 80 following an early morning traffic stop in Bradford. On Friday, April 5, 2019, around 2 a.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer witnessed two people walk to a parked vehicle on Mary Street.
The vehicle drove off and turned onto Simcoe Street where it proceeded in an erratic manner. The officer conducted a vehicle stop and detected an odour of alcohol. A roadside screening device test was conducted which resulted in a fail.
The driver was arrested for Over 80 and transported to the South Division. Further testing resulted in readings well over the legal limit of alcohol.
The man was then charged with Over 80. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 45 days due to his previous driving history.
