A 39-year-old Bradford man has been charged with speeding twice in one day. The first traffic stop occurred on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 just after 8 a.m. on Sideroad 20 in Innisfil when a South Simcoe Police Service officer clocked a vehicle travelling in excess of 29 kilometres of the posted speed limit.

Five hours later, the same vehicle was stopped by another officer on Yonge Street in Innisfil travelling in excess of 31 kilometres of the posted speed limit. In both cases, the driver was charged with speeding and fail to surrender licence.

Two speeding tickets issued to the same driver on the same day is a rare occurrence. Unfortunately, motorists speeding on our roads is not unusual. We urge all drivers to do their part for safety's sake by obeying posted speed limits. Slow down. Arrive alive.
