Bradford woman accused of driving stolen vehicle

A 36-year-old Bradford woman was charged after South Simcoe Police Service recovered a stolen vehicle in Bradford.

On Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019 around 5 a.m., an officer investigated a vehicle in a parking lot on Holland Street West near Thorton Avenue and determined it had been reported stolen in Cobourg.

A woman was subsequently arrested at the scene. As a result of investigation, a 36-year-old Bradford woman was charged with possession of property obtained by crime and possession of drugs. The woman was released with a court date in January.

Our officers are always conducting pro-active patrols in order to fight crime and keep our communities safe. This was an example of the type of results that can be achieved from community policing. We are also fortunate to have great engagement with our residents!
