Child's bike stolen in Alliston

TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ADJALA-TOSORONTIO & ESSA TOWNSHIPS – On Monday, May 25, 2020, at approximately 5:20 p.m., members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a child's bicycle in Alliston, New Tecumseth.  

The bicycle is believed to have been stolen from the Dairy Queen in Alliston around 5 p.m. Officers attended and commenced an investigation. Patrols of the area were made in an attempt to locate the bicycle or the suspect, but yielded negative results. 

The bicycle is described as a brand new 2020 GT Aggressor sport, small adult size, bright blue.   

The suspect is described as a white male, early 20s, bald, with a distinctive Joker tattoo with Batman wings on his right calf.   

Nottawasaga OPP is asking residents or businesses near the location of the theft who may have captured the incident or suspect on their security cameras to contact police.  

Anyone with information regarding this theft, or any criminal activity, is asked to contact the Nottawasaga OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). When you contact Crime Stoppers you remain anonymous, you will never have to testify and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2000.  

Nottawasaga OPP would like to remind community members to call police at 1-888-310-1122 if you see any suspicious persons, vehicle and/or activity. Safe communities are a shared responsibility, and we would like to have this child's bike returned to him.
