INNISFIL - A 37-year-old Innisfil man is charged with impaired driving and over 80 after police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Innisfil Beach Road in Alcona.
On Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 around 4:30 p.m., an officer pulled over the vehicle and detected signs of impairment. The driver was transported to North Division where further testing resulted in readings of more than double the legal limit of alcohol. The man received an automatic 90-day driver's licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded.
Thank you to the citizen who helped us put the brakes on an impaired driver. We're grateful to have the support of residents who work with us to fight crime.
Impaired driving, whether by alcohol or drug, can lead to serious injury or death. This citizen helped us prevent a tragedy waiting to happen.
