A 20-year-old Bradford woman remains in serious but stable condition in a Toronto hospital following a collision in Bradford.

On Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 8 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on Canal Road west of the 5th Line. The collision involved an eastbound farm tractor and a westbound vehicle. When officers arrived, they located the vehicle with a female driver in the north ditch. The 20-year-old Bradford woman was extricated from her car by Bradford West Gwillimbury Fire and Emergency Services and transported to a Toronto trauma centre with serious injuries. A 41-year-old King Township man who was operating the tractor was uninjured.

Collision Reconstruction officers from the Traffic Unit attended and processed the scene for several hours. The road was reopened around 1:30 p.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation. No charges have been laid at this time. Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the South Simcoe Police Service Traffic Unit at 705-436-2141, 905-775-3311, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS) or submit a tip online.
