A 63-year-old Richmond Hill man was charged with impaired operation and over 80 after his vehicle was stopped at a RIDE check in Bradford.

On Friday, Dec. 6, 2019 at approximately 10 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were conducting a RIDE program on Langford Boulevard at Miller Park Avenue. When speaking to the driver of a stopped vehicle, an officer detected an odour of alcohol and other signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to South Division where breath tests resulted in readings of over twice the legal limit.

A 63-year-old Richmond Hill man was charged with impaired operation and over 80. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
