On Thursday, June 9, at approximately 1 p.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired permit in the area of Innisfil Beach Road and Jans Boulevard in Innisfil.
As a result of the investigation, 39-year-old Jose Marques Peixoto of Toronto was charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired (excess blood alcohol), dangerous operation, two counts of failure to comply with judicial release, operation while prohibited by order under the Criminal Code, drive motor vehicle with no currently validated permit and having care or control of a motor vehicle with unsealed container of liquor.
His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 45 days.
